Caramel, Apple & tart…. on their own they are pretty delicious, but combined and baked, they taste like heaven. This is a very easy recipe to follow, and you often will have the ingredients already in your pantry. Before you bake the tart, you will pack your tin apples on top of your dough. As you bake it *a little magic happens * and all the apples sinks into the dough, trust me this is quite nice 🙂 While your tart is in the oven start with the sauce, as you need to pour this over the tart, as soon as the tart comes out of the oven.
TART:
50 g Margarine
3 eggs
10 ml Baking powder
60 ml Milk
250 ml Sugar
250 ml White flour
Pinch of salt
1 X 385 g pie apples
Preheat your oven to 180 ËšC , and grease a 21 cm square oven safe bowl.
Using an electric mixer, cream the butter and the sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs in, one by one and mix good after every egg. Add in the dry ingredients alternating with the milk. Pour the mixture into your prepared square bowl and pack the apples on top of the mixture.
Bake for +/- 20-30 minutes or until done.
SAUCE:
125 ml Sugar
50 ml Margarine
60 ml Milk
25 ml Caramel essence.
Place all the ingredient for the sauce into a pot. Keep stirring over medium heat until the margarine is melted. As soon as your tart comes out of the oven, pour the sauce over.
Serve this tart at room temperature with some fresh whipped cream.
